Zygomatic implants are designed for patients who have significant bone loss in the upper jaw and may not be suitable for conventional dental implants. Unlike traditional implants, zygomatic implants are longer and are anchored in the zygomatic (cheek) bone, which provides strong support for a fixed dental restoration.

Process Information

Your Zygomatic Implant Treatment Journey 1. Detailed examination and 3D planning A clinical examination and CBCT scan are used to assess your bone structure and carefully plan the position of the zygomatic implants. 2. Zygomatic implant placement The implants are placed according to the individual surgical plan. The type of anaesthesia or sedation is determined according to the clinical situation and treatment requirements. 3. Temporary fixed restoration When sufficient primary stability is achieved and the clinical conditions are suitable, a temporary fixed bridge may be provided following implant placement. 4. Healing period The implants are allowed to integrate with the bone over the following months. The healing period is typically around 3–4 months, depending on the individual case. 5. Final full-arch bridge After healing, the final bridge is individually designed, tried in, adjusted and securely attached to the implants.
